The applied forest biometrics textbook on "Biometrics of Forest Inventory, Forest Growth and Forest Planning" is authored by Dr. James D. Arney, Forest Biometrics and Dr. Kelsey S. Milner, Champion Professor of Forestry (retired), Montana School of Forestry. It was revised July, 2007. It contains specific examples of inventory, growth projection, silvicultural systems and harvest planning in the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest. All examples are worked out in the text with supporting software (FPS Version 6.6) and databases on a CD-ROM (purchased separately). It is designed for hands-on applications, continuing education short-courses for professional foresters and advanced undergraduate courses in Forest Management Bachelor of Science degree programs. Go to the Orders Page for more information or to order a copy ($35 each, 323 pages). Members of the institute can request an electronic version of the textbook for no charge.
