The applied forest biometrics textbook on "Biometrics of Forest Inventory,
Forest Growth and Forest Planning" is authored by Dr. James D. Arney,
Forest Biometrics and Dr. Kelsey S. Milner, Champion Professor of Forestry (retired),
Montana School of Forestry. It was revised July, 2007. It contains
specific examples of inventory, growth projection, silvicultural systems
and harvest planning in the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest. All
examples are worked out in the text with supporting software (FPS Version
6.6) and databases on a CD-ROM (purchased separately). It is designed
for hands-on applications, continuing education short-courses for professional
foresters and advanced undergraduate courses in Forest Management Bachelor
