The Tree Record System (TRS) is the combination of a standardized database structure and a suite of tools for analyzing and interacting with tree measurement information. The Forest Biometrics Research Institute uses the TRS to calibrate and update the Regional Species Libraries. In addition the TRS structure is used to archive all the permanent growth plot data and felled tree data that the FBRI maintains.
- The TRS database structure is available to anyone and can be downloaded here.
- Much of the data maintained in the TRS by the FBRI is available for research activities. Please contact us for more information.
- Many of the calibration tools associated with the TRS are available to members of the institute.
